Golf Administration - P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship
In 1991, the USGA established the P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program. This program is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf associations, as well as other non-profit organizations dedicated to the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term, entry level basis.
Button Hole Golf Course is accepting applications for the Boatwright Intern for the summer of 2008. Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the intern will participate in all phases of operation within a 9-hole par 3 public golf teaching facility focused on making a difference in the lives of urban youth. The duties will include but not be limited to Golf Administration, Instructional Program, Volunteer Program, Special Events, Community Out Reach, and Tournament Administration & Involvement. The intern will receive pay through a grant from the USGA. The internship will begin June 1st and end September 1st.
